Beth Perry (b. 1992, Kyogle, Bundjalung Country) is an artist based on Gadigal Land (Sydney). Working within an expanded painting practice, she explores how material and gesture intertwine to create meaning. Her recent body of work uses textiles to reimagine the grid as a site of gathering, becoming and slippage. Perry is interested in how the accumulation of gestures allows small deviations to emerge, revealing notions of time and process. She completed a Master of Fine Art at the National Art School in Sydney and has exhibited in group exhibitions across Sydney.
