Beth Perry is an artist working on Gadigal land/Sydney. Her practice is informed by provisionality and abstraction. Beth’s work relates to transitional times of day, when the shifting of light brings about a sense of otherness. She in interested in emergence, in-between states and processes of becoming. Voids and an underneath quality are also important ideas in Beth’s work.
Beth was born in 1992 in Kyogle and grew up in the NSW Northern Rivers region. She completed a Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Creative Writing from the University of Melbourne in 2015 and is currently finishing a Bachelor degree in Painting from the National Art School in Sydney.
